I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CAC-AD), & Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT). I bring extensive experience working with young adults (ages 14+) and adults struggling with addiction, mood and personality disorders, attachment challenges, and impulsivity, in both in-patient and outpatient settings. My approach is compassionate and intentional, and is designed to help clients develop healthier coping strategies and build resilience through meaningful therapeutic work. My clinical expertise centers on understanding the intricate connections between personal experiences, emotional patterns, and behavioral choices. I am committed to creating a supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges, develop self-awareness, and cultivate positive change. Whether you're dealing with addiction, relationship issues, life transitions, or seeking support in managing complex emotional experiences, I'm dedicated to walking alongside you with professional guidance and genuine care.
I approach therapy from a psychodynamic lens to address the foundation of emotional distress, and then use an integrated approach incorporating principals from other therapies, such as DBT, to address both observable behaviors & subjective internal experiences. This approach aims to increase self-awareness & emotional resilience, manage symptoms, navigate interpersonal problems, & improve the quality of life of the patient.
I have a core group of therapists, doctors, and treatment centers that I refer to & consult with, and keep current information on available resources (out patient, in-patient, new therapies) to act swiftly if a change in the level of care is necessary.
Working with pilots and the HIMS Program, and State Department Employees and the ADEP Programs is of special interest to me.
